Nice job DUMBASS Revisited
What boggles my mind is that there are a lot of people that do not understand simple animal physiology. Now I am not referring to a 300 level Biology course in a university, I am referring to simple common sense things you should know if you have a pet.
For example, I was waiting for the bus to get to school this morning and I saw a guy walking a dog. Now this seems perfectly reasonable, and I would like to commend the man for having the dog on a leash connected to the dog's coller. Sounds fine so far, but, he also had the leash wrapped around the dog's snout so the dog could not open its mouth. Brilliant work DUMBASS!
As I am sure all my astute readers know, a dog's cooling system is through his mouth. The panting that a dog does is that he is cooling off. The heat is siphoned off to the dog's mouth and it escapes as the dog opens his mouth. In this way the dog is able to cool off. In a sense the dog is sweating through his mouth. You sweat, the dog pants, thats how we are able to stay cool.
So Dumbass here was preventing his dog from cooling off. He should be forced to wear a thick fur coat in the middle of July to see what kind of discomfort he is causing the dog. It really amazes me that people get pets and have no idea how to care for them.
The people reading my blog are intelligent people, I know that and so do all of yall. I am no ttelling you anything you dont know, I am mearly entertaining you in the only way I know how: The Big Tex way...

What kind of temperatures are you getting up there? It's usually not too far from zero in the mornings over here.
I agree, though, that people who have no idea how to take care of their pets are idiots. I don't believe in pet stores - I think they encourage the idea that animals, like fish, are decorations that you buy and then dispose of at your convenience.

The temp is anywhere from 40-50. When I saw the person and the dog it was about 48. 48 is not exactly humid, but after a certain amount of exericse the person will begin to sweat, and the dog will as well. My point was that the person was preventing the dog from cooling off and obviously does not know the first thing about animal physiology.
